Jahmiel belongs also to my big favorites and he´s got definitely positive songs and lyrics in his ‘repertoire’.
He was born as “Jamiel Foster” on August 30, 1992 in Portmore, St. Catherine (Jamaica), and his father recognized his passion for music already at the young age of 4. According to his family Jahmiel sang his own songs making up his own lyrics later. His love for music grew more and more being inspired by musicians like Bob Marley, Buju Banton, Junior and Sizzla Kalonji.
After finishing high school, Jahmiel dedicated his life to his passion making music. Luckily, via his cousin he could build a relationship with Jamie and Ahkeem Roberts of Young Vibez Production.
From this point his carrier was accelerating as he continued producing hits with different labels like T.J Records, Brit Jams, Dunwell Productions, Bashment Productions, Randy Rich Productions, Network Ent, Icon, Good Good Production, Hemp Higher Productions, Bomb Rush Productions, Cashflow Records, Miller 9 Records, Social Yaad Records, Jay Crazie Records, Black Spyda Records, Magnolia Music, Green Leaf Productions, Kevy B Records, NotNice Records, U.I.M Records, and Head Concussion Records.
In May 2014 he released his Mission EP with the hit song “Real Father” produced by Notnice Records. “Real Father” become a favorite on the Tempo Cross Caribbean Countdown Chart and it was number ONE for a few weeks in August of 2014. Jahmiel’s success reached an international level when his single “Long Distance Love” (produced by Gachapan Records) became number 1 on Japan’s Reggaezion music charts in December 2014. Another hit single (titled “Struggles”) that has been produced by NotNice, has been number two
on the Tempo Cross Caribbean Countdown for the weeks February 21st to March2nd 2015.
Jahmiel writes his own lyrics which are clean and brought with a positive “vibe”. As he states:
“Being true to myself is all I know, I want to sing about life experiences and real-life situations
that can inspire, motivate and let that person listening know they are not alone and they will rise above it”
